Camp Fernwood is an all-girls residential summer camp located in Poland, Maine for campers ages 7 to 15. Founded in 1921, Camp Fernwood is rooted in the four principles of living simply, enjoying the beauty and wonder of natural surroundings, nurturing tolerance and unselfishness, and developing loving, lifelong friendships.

Camp Fernwood's program is intentional, allowing for friendships to form, independence and resilience to develop, and girls to fully immerse themselves in the complete camp experience.

A week-long program focused on a variety of water activities, outdoor and survival classes, and basic medical and safety training designed to broaden the knowledge, improve confidence, and prepare children for life-long enjoyment of the Great Outdoors!

Summer Day Camp Locations: Cliffdale Recreation Center, College Lakes Recreation Center, Eastover-Central Recreation Center, *E.E. Miller Recreation Center, J.D. Pone Recreation Center, Kiwanis Recreation Center, Lake Rim Recreation Center, Pine Forest Recreation Center, Stedman Recreation Center, Stoney Point Recreation Center, and Westover Recreation Center

FTCC’s Summerscapes program is designed for school-age children offering educational and self-enrichment learning opportunities during the summer months.

Horse Camp at Hamilton Stables is offered as both a half day camp option, or as an overnight camp. Half day camp is $300, and overnight camp is $500. $75 down is requested to hold your spot for both! 

Participants will learn about caring for horses and develop riding skills and knowledge all while having fun! Photos and videos, as well as a certificate of completion are included with your camp fee.  

Harnett County Parks and Recreation’s Summer Day Camp programs at the Boone Trail Community Center & Benhaven Community Center provides a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for families who want their children to have a fulfilling summer camp experience.

The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth offers rigorous, fun, three-week summer day and residential programs at 11 U.S. locations. CTY has 70+ courses in math, science, writing, and the humanities, plus activities like talent shows and dances. Year-round online courses are also enrolling. The Summer Camp at the Hope Mills Recreation Center provides a safe environment for 8 weeks filled with fun activities & experiences.
